100% Breton Gin - Malouin's Original - Ille-et-Vilaine - 33 cL
Developed on the Emerald Coast using juniper berries, this spirit of character subtly combines coriander, yuzu lemon zest, oranges and seaweed hand-picked at low tide on the coast around Saint-Jacut-de-la-mer. The original Malouin's gin with its subtly iodized taste is produced from 96° wheat alcohol and diluted with Sassay spring water in Plancoët to remain local.
Passionate about gin, Thomas and Charlotte Jourdan, former Parisian restaurateurs who returned home to Saint-Malo, have started making a 100% made in Brittany spirit: gin! In partnership with Breton master distiller Lenaïck Lemaître, they have created a range of atypical gin: with apple, buckwheat or Erquy rose, these Breton gins bring character and fragrance to modern cocktails.
Chef's tip: This gin with its surprising iodized taste is exceptional to consume like a vodka with oysters and seafood. It can also be enjoyed chilled in a cocktail with a very good tonic to prolong summer evenings.
